Nottingham county councel are introducing a parking levy to enable you to park at your work place !! it,s their way of raising money to extend the tram lines .

Now where i work is on a cul-de-sac and there,s only three buisnesses there so not a major road by any means ,they say we can only park 5 staff cars on our premises after that anybody else has to pay £20 a month !! now most of us park on the road so it,s not really gonna effect us .. we thought , we,ve now heard there going to put a yellow line down the road and you can only park if you buy a permit and guess what they,re £20 a fooking month :taz::taz:

Seems like the honest hard working employee just gets screwed over every time , what a complete bunch of :xxx::xxx::xxx:

Absolutely rediculous - you just couldn't make that up......

I think it's wrong that councils wield that kind of daft power - especially as most urban councils are run by car hating bearded PC eco-warriors; who won't be happy until we are all living in caves eating plankton.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Sorry to ressurect an old thread but just seen on the news that this is starting on April fools day....

Soon you will have to pay to go for a shit in your own house I reckon

Its all bullshit and quite frankly there is no reason to love Britain anymore (notice i dropped the Great)

Working in Edinburgh is a massive joke. Everywhere is permit holders only. My business work for insurers to attend accident and emergencies in the home. Off course we cant get parked any where near the bloody homes. I can only imagine how bad London must be.

Oh, and dont even start me on tram lines

Yeah. I live in Manchester where the council are obsessed with the tram. They have just spent umpty million pounds ripping up a perfectly good train line to replace it with a tram line nobody wants. Costs and completion times have spiralled and local businesses are closing down cos nobody can get near. It's chaos and a total waste of money
