well after reading a coupleof jeffs posts on water ingestion

and gues what..the drain pipes had came away from the bungs on both sides..omfg my arme arms are ripped to shreds trying to get to them.

fuse box was soaking as was 75% of conectors

fuse box is drying out.

resealed the t-top seals and put a bit extra black tar sikaflex where need.so hopefully :sweatdrop:itlll be waterproof now.

just need to sort out a relay for the window wiper/heater pod..then its good to go for fitting my new re-trimmed interior pieces:clap::clap::clap:

but when i ched the carpet way dry..must been coz the fuse box was soaking the majority up

reason your carpet will be dry is the water will end up in the gap between the inner skin (that the carpet sits against) and the outter skin (the bit that rots at the rear sill on the inside) might be an idea to get the seats out, take as much carpet up at the edges as possible and see if you have water sloshing about in there, because if you do it will eat your car from inside to out. (you will see what i mean when you start getting the carpet up at the edges, you have to remember the fuse box is recessed.

one step ahead the interior is bare just the dash thats left in..got it all dryed

..got the heater in for the night just to make sure its all dry before put it all back together

im sure there is a protective substance you can get for the inside of your car, bit like waxoil that you put on the underside to protect it. might be an idea of doing the same before you put it all back together :)

thought about that

my dads bringin some waterproof spray that he uses at work to stop water getting into the metal boxes that hold lecckie stuff

so hopfully thatll do the trick

the car was bone dry this morning

everythings dryd out n put back in..i have working heater and window wipers again..happy days

tomorrow the restof the retrimmed interior put back in and thats it
