Yeah if you had that money burning a hole in your pocket, you just couldn't NOT have it could you?

You have no soul!

id like to see that letter stating its eleanor, considering both cars had different dash cluster and the cobra badge on the side was changed to "official gone in 60 seconds eleanor", the dials had "gone in 60 seconds" on them as well, with a massive 60.

Yeah but note, this is one of the two that entered private hands, of another 5 which survived the film and are still in the hands of the studio and production companies etc. All the promotional cars will have had that stuff put on them, I doubt the ones that were sold privately would have and if they did, I'd probably remove it myself for a more stock look tbh. It also says 'essentially unchanged today from when she completed her starring role', i.e. hinting a few changes.

EDIT: ALSO, just went and watched this clip of the film on YouTube to refresh my memory. This one is closer to how it was in the film than the picture you put up. The one you put up, doesn't have a big tacho on the steering column, the pistonheads one does and so does the car in the movie. The car in the movie also has the more classic speedo dial with the chrome centre piece and the needle moves around that, just like the one on pistonheads.

It's a great car and you are buying the provenance of the car which means a lot but not shure it would be a good investment the price would come down as the years went on.

But on the other hand if it was called Christine and was indestructible that would be an investment:devil:

LOL Christine!

Not sure Eleanor will depreciate, considering Mustangs are still appreciating, especially the 60s ones and of course the fact that it's not JUST a 60s mustang but a Shelby, which are ALSO appreciating, I think you'd be waiting a LONG LONG time for this car to depreciate in value :D

i had a zed called Christine, on the first day she flooded and wouldn't start, on the second day she threw 2 conrods, changing a wheel stud, the break line collapsed so she needed bleeding, then the drivers side window failed, then some numpty slashed 3 tires on her, then as she was lowered i managed to catch a speed hump wrong and stick a 2" gash in the underside of the car, by the time it had been cut out half of the floor pan had been removed just to get back to good metal.

Moral of the story, if anyone ever offers you a car named christine, run....run for your life....lol

Sweeet. What's the going rate for a kidney on the black market nowadays.........

.....or will I have to part with both; and maybe a liver as well....

Richard:punk:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Makes me want to watch the film again! :)

I used to have it on limited edition DVD, but it got lost somewhere between moving up and down the UK and over to NZ twice :(.

I'd LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!! :)
