hi guys ive had an ALC unit installed and im sure i read somewhere that in the ALC box there is 2 lights(red and green)now when you change gear these lights are supposed to change,indicating that it is changing gear?

is this right as ive just pulled my ALC BOX out so i could check and the red light just stays on constant ,can anybody help?jay

does nobody have this alc for their auto box?

From memory, the red light is just a power indicator. The green light gets brighter as the unit approaches a shift. It doesn't operate unless you have almost full throttle opening.

 

Just a warning, the ALC will speed up the wear rate on a part worn gearbox. I experienced this and ended up needing a rebuild. If you get a rebuild then have the line pressure uprated internally and you can then ditch your ALC and have great shifts all the time.
