Value my car?

I hate these kind of threads but I don't know if I'm being sensible pricing my car. Problem is I don't really want to sell it, I could just do with something more practical!

So what do we think it's worth?

95 manual slicktop

Full respray

D2 330mm 8!pots

Meister r coilovers

Meister r camber arms etc

18 rota gtr's with new tyres.

And much more!

Personally I'd say it's worth £5k+, but I wouldn't want to put an actual figure on it. ZX-TT has a slicktop SWB I believe? With quite the impressive spec list, also re-sprayed I think and adjustable suspension etc. he's got his up for £7.5k. He also doesn't really want to sell it, I think he's just in a similar position to you. I'd say if you sell it, you'll regret it. If you've got ANY spare cash at all, I'd buy a crappy run around that's practical and costs you fug all, then insure it TPO and don't even bother with theft cover.

God that slicktop is cheap! Dam... Lol yeh I dunno just space to put another vehicle I suppose.

It's certainly worth a lot less than mine :tt2:

I wouldn't dream of parting with mine but all of us are in different financial situations, some want or can afford to spend say the 5k and some have a smaller budget.

I never wanted or envisaged spending what I did on mine, I was thinking more 2.5 or 3k but the more I looked into them and kept looking at pics and the spec, I decided to take the plunge and spend that bit more and I don't regret it one bit.

Buying for less only means you have to then spend and keep spending to get it just how you want it anyway by adding more upgrades, you certainly get what you pay for.

Somebody will come along and pay you what you want eventually, just be patient because if you're not you will end up flogging it for less than it's worth and you will then be left with regret

I see this being me when I start on mine, but I like your conclusion :thumbup1:

I think if you ask to little you just devalue the car and make potential buyers doubt it's any good, decide a reasonable price and stick to it

In line with another discussion on here the other day, I reckon stick it up at £10k plus like a certain unmentionable person, who's no longer on this site did with a certain car, we all have known a long time. A few more cars at really high prices should help considerably to push the prices of them all up. :D

I too spent more than planned. I wasn't going to spend much, a few repairs, keep it fairly standard etc. Then the sill problem came along, it was either sell it, break it or spend the money repairing it and pretty much go all out since I was spending more than I did to buy the car on repairing the sills alone, lol. Do I regret that? NO!
