Hi,

I know a couple of members were working on these transplants (Friday, JohnDixon).

After watching a couple of John's videos on YouTube I was curious as to how much one of the afore mentioned engines cost and who imports them?

Am interested to see whether it is feasible for me to even consider this (for a future project) or whether the costs would be too much. So, any info/links would be great.

Many thanks.

John

I would say a LS1/LS2 GM V8 out of a Monaro/VXR8 would be easier to source, and are either 5.7 or 6.0.They have got huge tuning potential, as just about anything is possible.i know theres a company that fits them in 200sx's.

The cost of buying the original engine is tiny compared to the total money spent by John developing the engine and transplanting it.

You can find them all over U.S Ebay for $500-$1500

A good site for Z engine transplants is hybridz.org and nicoforums

Thanks Yowser, I'll keep an eye out on eBay US for any that come up so I can gauge cost.

I gather from ZClub.net that John spent a fair bit, it shows, the conversion looks and sounds great.
