Now that im close to finishing the zx, i've been ringing round for quotes.

Ive told them of all mods to car as i want it to be covered properly and all im getting is brick doors.

So my question is..... HOW the feck do you all get yours soo cheap????.

Am i doing somethingcwrong when being honest about the car?.

Im 34 and have nearly 7yrs ncb. The z is a uk manual tt.

I valued it at 4k, which i feel in todays market is a fair value. Am i under valueing my car maybe compared to the mods made.

Adrian flux want nearly 1k which is just riddiculous. and footman james wont even quote.

I know its not as modded as alot of yours on here, so just how do you get these reasonable quotes?.

I was ringing for classic insurance. Cant do trade as i dont usually buy n sell cars to get one.

must be a postcode thing, did FJ not give a reason why they wouldn't quote?

Flux just insured a mate on a fully modified 328i for 1k, thats 25yo with only 1 year driving experience and in a bad area. There must be something wrong here.

give lynbrook classic car insurance a ring. i pay £330 a year fully comp, with 8k miles per year classic car, which even has break down cover as standard. thats with all mods declared.

It'll be your postcode Dave as Clarkey says. When we lived round the corner from you in Wheatley, the Z cost us nearly a grand to insure, in Roses name, who's around the same age with the same number of NCD, now we live in Blaxton, which is a very low crime area according to the police crime map, it costs us next to **** all, even in my name, I'm 28 and have no NCD.

Sky insurance in Enfield has been used too by guys on here

Yeh, but they know you will not see anywhere near the 8k as they have heard on the insurance database grapevine about your overheating issues :tt2:

ROFL you could almost go as far as saying they know he drives a Z with that joke, let alone being specific about his overheating issues, lol.

Im 23 and got mine for 870 with 2 years ncb, thats with admiral multicar and mrs got a vectra but shes not long passed and her insurance is £400 more than mine!

I am with Admiral with all my mods declared and class 1 business use...and I do between 15K and 20K mileage per year and it's £425 fully comp... Check them out, they are superb. Good luck.
