Got my dial surround off rich so put in in my spare clocks today what do you think? Was wondering what the best way to light up the z and twin turbo logos would be?

Oh damn you why must you tempt me with more items from rich!

In regards to the lighting, i'd be setting it up much like the rest of the gauges, in the way that the numbers light up you'll need a slighty smoked clear plastic, you could stick an LED behind but it might be very bright sitting that close to the lettering, so perhaps try sink them further back in the unit, you may also want to put them on a seperate dimmer so you can tweak the brightness to your liking, you could link into the existing dimmer but if they end up brighter than the rest you wont be able to dim them down without making the rest of the guages barely lit.

and his zed.

Electroluminescent strips behind them, nice and thin and you can run the wires from the inverter and screw them into the bottom screws on the cluster bud.

Yes very good, about my house, I have those icicle lights right up at the top, 960 of them, in the move though I seem to of lost the transformer to run them so I have been trying others and have ended up blowing 5 of them :cursing: Been frying my eggs on them!!

Don't try this at home is my motto  twisting all the wires together!!

Anyway they will all be coming down as I have ordered some more

Onto the clocks, I put some frosted diffuser paper on the reverse and then plonked a led bulb in there as far back as I could, if it is too bright you could also put some window tint on as well, I think I cut away some of the plastic if my memory serves as well, a bit of a trial and error thing going on with the brightness until you're happyjumping0002.gif

Anyway on another note, you want to forget about lighting it up for now, sort out the rev counter needle first banana-peel.gif

Speaking of which, how do i fix that, mine was fine when in the car but got moved around the garage alot and now has the rev needle all the way around, will it comes right when i fire the car up again or whats the story? i had the car fully powered up and cranked it over (no fuel etc) and it didn't go back to 0.
