Well I will be on Monday :clap:

Just been and paid a deposit on this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1996-LEXUS-GS300-GREY-/250951121204?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3a6dda3934#ht_500wt_1287

Just test driven it, its bloody marvellous! Ok so its an auto, and that's not my fave way to roll, but hey, its a 3l V6 Lexus!

Its mint, really good condition, full Lexus service history, been owned by the same bloke for the last 5 years, his mate owned it before then. Gorgeous car! Brand new MOT on it today too.

Just need to fix the power steering pump on the Omega and sell that asap.

Monday afternoon cannot come soon enough. Took it on a fab test drive, floored it on the dual carriage way, so nice to feel a bit of power again :tt1:

Thanks, its mint, well chuffed with it. The Omega is a decent car but totally lacking in power. This ticks all the boxes for now til I can afford to buy a decent Zed when I've qualified. 3l thirsty V6 tho, good job I cycle to Uni and placement lol

I was thinking the same thing, but then:

For £500?

Good point :(

With any luck I'll get at least that for the Omega with it having such low mileage, extensive history and full leathers and working toys so in effect it won't have actually cost me anything, more like a swap....

Its such a gorgeous drive, I'd forgotten how much I was missing proper power, Marc said the grin was virtually tattooed to my face as I floored it and flew down the dual carriageway...hehehe

Na Allan, not even 2 numbers - hence my bargain luxury car

Jap cars do tend to be more reliable I think, that's why we've gone from 2 Z's to an Italian problem machine (Alfa) and a Cheese eating surrender monkey mobile (Espace), oh shit no, wait, aaaah ****. :D

Good luck with this one Jane, hope it is a better car for you.

And, how nerdy is this - memory seats and electric steering wheel, which goes back in when you turn it off!

By the way, its got a personal plate on the car, its not relevant to me, wondering how you go about selling a personal plate. Any ideas?

Ooh- looks luvly. I sold a car related private plate thru a car magazine to get a bit more for it but you could always give one of the many plate selling companies a ring?

No i like the 300. i was going to buy one but was looking at about 2k for one a year back.

But £500 and your track record :whistling:

Thanks Roobarb, its a really nice car. As for the plate, Gary says its a Northern Irish plate so not worth much, so I might as well keep it on there. Shame, I'd just found J300 NUS for £250! It would have done for me when I switch back to a Zed too!

Ha, lets hope its a good un then

Nice motor Janus and the plate is a Northern Ireland plate from Armagh not worth much Iam afraid they are put on English cars to stop people guessing the age of them I would say £100 tops for one.

Cheers Gary, I'll keep the plate on the car then, given its a 96 car and I don't think it looks like a 15 yr old!

Shame, I'd already sold it in my head for £250 and bought J300 NUS lol

Yeah. Mine was an Irish plate but it was dil 3251 so I sold it to a BMW owner. Prob not worth the hassle tho for a normal one.
