So for the last few days this has been happening, but only yesterday we realised it's intermittent. We originally noticed that the outside, drivers side tail light bulb was out, but then on the way home from ZedWorld it fixed itself, now today, everytime I brake, my "LIGHTS" warning light comes on, I haven't actually had a chance to check which bulb appears to be out obviously, as I've been driving it, but I did verify when backing into the garage, that there was an increase in red light behind the car when pressing the brake pedal (i.e. not ALL bulbs are out) and the "LIGHTS" light still came on.

Any known issues that cause this? Or am I just looking for a dodgy connection or some water laying around near some connectors or something?

I had an issue with one of mine, it was the soldered bit actually inside the bulb holder if my memory serves, one minute working the next off, oh how I kept wiggling!!!!

Find someone who is breaking :whistling: and get a fresh bulb holder spliced in or just get the complete loom.

As if by magic your problem will disappear :cool3:

I had this problem for ages and all it was is the bulb.

If i messed with it or give the light a slap it would work. so checked all the connections and as was cool. wd40 everything it still did it. if it was working and i went over a bump the breaklight would go out, peed me off for ages and all it was, was the bulb lol!!

It might be the same problem as i had, brake lights but no tail liight that was the tail light sensor thingy ma gigy mabob, black box near the arial.

Yeah unfortunately we sold the rear lights to Bird and I think the bulb holders went with them :( Rose suspects it may be where she spliced in the EL panel for the 300zx center panel which came from her car.

I was tempted to change the bulb as I've had this same thing happen to me before too.

I had your issue in mind as I was driving along earlier, but the tail lights are now back to fully working after going over a few bumpy roads (It's Doncaster, every road is bumpy) earlier today, the LIGHTS light kept coming on and off, then just stayed off, check the tail lights, all present and correct. Just now, when I push the brake pedal, the LIGHTS light keeps coming on everytime I press the pedal, yet when looking behind me, the amount of red light increases considerably, so I'd say it'll be the brake light in that same top right corner. Weird.
