We are all going to die one day. I think we forget that. You, yes YOU, are about to have 24 hours of choices. All these choices are yours and only yours.

Feel free to try and tell all kind of things but you don't have to do anything.

Don't worry about the future of this debate. the real things you should worry about are probably things that have never crossed your mind. You could type a reply to this, or others.. or you could sing...a song..one you like.

Sometimes you are ahead. Sometimes you are behind. Sometimes you are the pigeon and sometimes you are the statue. this debate is only happennning because a journalist is good at being in the puplic eye & it pays his bills. He, like us are arising to the chance to give an opinion.

Leave the debate before it makes you hardened. Read the debate to stop from being soft. If you read the lastest to find out what your opinion is you balance out the people who troll the internet all day. Don't feel bad if you dont care. Don't feel bad because you do care.

Your life is just chance. So is everybody elses.

Fanatasize if you like but dont expect anyone else to support you. You never know the way the wind may blow.

That's very profound mate...... :sorcerer:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Put down the bowl.

I could do with a cup of tea now  get the kettel on.

ROFL I went out to work on the car and like another 3 pages appeared.

It seems there is definitely a general consensus among private sector workers and a nurse who wishes she was in private health care, in the debate. Sorry Jane but it really is that simple, you either work in the public sector and get paid the rate the government sets, or you work in the public sector and have a shot at earning what you're worth.

It's a shame we don't currently have any pencil pushers from the NHS, who contribute nothing but paperwork to put their side in, or the people who work for the department of work and pensions, who do nothing but screw everything up, give everything to those who don't need/deserve it, and nothing to those that do, to give their side of the story. I'd really like to hear their side of the story.

I'm absolutely furious, as Richard rightly said, that the people who genuinely deserve more money were at work today doing their jobs, as they should, yet those who don't deserve it, were not only not working, but were then in the pub getting pissed, is there another strike tomorrow as well? Or is the public sector simply going to operate with one massive hangover?

Unfortunately this is why the Labour government WILL get in to power again, they filled the public sector with SO MANY PEOPLE, who's lives are affected by public spending, that they almost always have a chance. Now all the people who are losing their public sector jobs, or their pension has been downgraded slightly to the point that it's still MILES in front of those who work in the private section, are going to do the stupidest thing they can think of, and vote red again next time. We may as well all just throw whatever little money we have in the air on a windy day ffs.

The last time this happened, the country seemed intelligent enough to keep the tories in power, we paid off our national debt (AGAIN, we're the only country to have done that you know, 3 times, twice under Tory power and once under Labour, whilst they were still following the Tory budget, because they hadn't had a chance to put their own in) and actually had money in the bank, then we went and voted in Tony Sodding Blair and it all went tit shaped!

I had to sell my kettle to finance pensions for the public sectorn LOL,bless em the poor leftie commies that they are.The pot is empty and they still want more,This strike is more about politics and the leftie unions fighting back at our current leaders, the ****s that called for these strikes are champagne socialists who will never know what not having a pension feels like.Boils my pi*s big time!!

Mate your a man after my own heart,i despise labour and the hand wringing leftie morons they represent.Labour made life very comfortable for a lot of people who didnt deserve to be and created more non jobs so those people would in turn vote for them.I hated and never voted for Blair hes a cu*t and has loads to answer for.My dad voted tory and i always will cus i like to earn a few bob and keep some of it as opposed to some Labour voters who prefer to do feck all and get paid for it.These idiots striking need to see that as usual the big bad Tories as they are often seen are the ONLY party that can sort this mess and have done many times its a trend that after a Labour boom and bust economy the Tories have to step in,look at the 70s a classic case once again of socialism.Get over it folks the gravy train has stopped and im not willing to finance its ressurection !!

Put down the bowl.

everyone says we are opposite sides of the globe to Australia when in fact it's actually New Zealand, so you might as well be on the moon for all you know about living in the situation we are in.

The first time we fell out was about futuristic Nissan cars. I hold back due to contractual obligations(I like my job and must stay fairly anon)but where I work we make/evalutate and evolve Nissans futuristic cars.

So wind your neck back in Sonny.

its a discussion forum, everyone from anywhere is allowed here, we do not limit people based on what side of the globe they are from, also its insightful to have an opinion from those who can sit on the outside looking in, with todays media outlets its not hard to grasp whats going on in the UK, its all over the news and BBC news is available in NZ.

Hell if it wasn't for people in Australia, id still be sitting here thinking that my headgasket was blown.

Yeah you see the thing is, I used to be there, in the middle, but not anymore. I have no clue how old you are, so please don't be offended, but late teens early twenties? It's very rare anyone past 25 DOESN'T care or have an opinion one way or the other. Unfortunately upbringing usually plays a big part in whether someone is a lefty or a righty in politics, thankfully I had both sides of the coin in my family, my dads a Tory through to the core and his family were always business owners or blue or white collar workers, my mums family on the other hand, were coal miners, court clerks and other forms of civil servants. I see both sides of the coin and tbh, with age, even my grandfather who was once a labour, then liberal councillor in Doncaster, is now more a Tory than anything else in his political views.

I'll stand, here's my manifesto 10 key points

1. To claim dole must have worked and paid tax for 3 years

2. School/uni leavers must either work or take training schemes or point 3

3. Claiming benefits, 2 days a week community maintenance work

4. Immigration, Aussy rules, 10k finance to prove you can support yourself. and no staying just because you've had a kid here!

5. NHS only life threatening care for immigrants before returning home but above should fix this.

6. EU, we make our own rules end of!

7. Prison, must work for their allowance/PS3's 3 days a week hard work repaying the costs incured in your crime

8. Imports, higher tax like Switzerland and before people what about affecting exports if imported goods are expensive they start buying British which replaces the loss.

9. Goverment waste, departments held responsible for waste, manager can be sacked for grossly wasting money 'it's not just someone else money to spend' you wouldn't do it at home or in private sector whithout getting in the shat!

10. Tax once above measure kick in and we're back in the black reduce and give something back.

So flamed or get your vote?

Unlike Zedzilla, I like this a lot :cool3: I like your outlook on life buddy, some people take themselves and others too seriously.

Hi Mate,

I work in sales so dont worry about offending me LOL.

Im 32 and a dad of 3, so i suppose to say i dont care isnt entirely accurate. More that im fed up with the whinging and moaning wherever it comes from as in my opinion what goes around comes around....

I tend to think that in the grand scheme of things it all evens itself out, and if you work hard put the effort in ultimately you get rewarded for it.

I appreciate that its not always the case and im certain people could give examples.

In this particualr case i can certainly see both sides, and i have enough friends who are teachers who i tell to there face that complaining at anything when they only work 38 weeks a year is a bit rich. b

But hey thats my 2p on it. like i say if we all had the same opinion life would be boring and all our Zeds would look the same LOL :) :)
