As per the title, the spec is perfect, leather, manual, etc but the sellers feedback is a big big worry for a prospective buyer, littered with unhappy folk.

 

That said if this is straight enough, would be a good buy for just over 2 big ones.

when i seen it at z-w .. the body work was mint and did look good ... hopefully its been cleaned up inside as there was lots of other stuff in it that needed sorting

This was my car, I sold it on ebay for £2000 3 days ago, drove mint! He then called me up the next morning saying its misfiring and the gearbox has a whine in it. I didnt know if this was true has I only did like 10 miles in it and I didnt notice anything wrong with it at the time, anyways has a goodwill jestur I gave him £150 back as he wanted to replace the box. Then within 18hrs he put it up for sale so god knows if he pulled a fast one on me!!!!

its one of those things these days you never know .....

most ppl will try and pull a fast one if they can i get it in the shop all day long

Its cool I didnt care anyway, I bought this car for the tein suspension which I took off, wanted the wheels also but were too small and only realised that when i travelled 200 miles to pick it up. I manage to get a few bits and pieces to make it presenatble amd moved it on.

Slicktop base model.. i think cruise was an option, because mine doesnt have it either!!

I don't have cruise in mine but I do have the switch to make it look like I do, better than a blank :sneaky2:

I'm actually going to look at this car tomorrow. Ifty, can you shed anymore light one what the potential problems may be? And did the guy who bought it seem like a decent guy? It's a long way for me so don't want a wasted journey if possible.

The guy seemed cool to me mate saying he had one before and wanted another one!!

 

The car on the whole is 100% solid with no rust, drove spot on and boosted up nice! a couple of minors on MOT advisory sheet like slight play on the rear bearing but apart from that I cannot fault it!!

 

Let me know how you get on!!!!

Also I read somewhere that it was being broken by Zedworld, did that not happen? I see that you bought it as spares/repair, did you replace the turbos on it?

Hi People, need to clarify some points about this car, I bought it a month ago off ebay, the guy had advertised as spares or repairs as it was in dry storage for 5 years and could'nt keep it due to him moving house. There was nothing wrong with it apart from interior panels needed re trimming. The owner thought that the turbos needed replacing as it was running a liitle low on power, however, I only bought the car as I was interested in the wheels and the suspension coilovers!

 

When I got the car home I realised the boost pipe had a split in it so I replaced it and gave the car a good service, the car ran perfect. The following day I did a seperate deal with Jeff from Zedworld with this car for another. (which everyone here was aware of on this forum)

 

Jeff and Jamie decided they wanted to break the car as people were interested in various parts, I then decided the following day to buy the car back from Jeff as it was to good to break and it would have been a great shame for such rare car!

 

I then had the car MOT'D and sold it on ebay for £2000

 

All the above can be backed up by management of Zedworld

I'm sorry if my questions have caused trouble between you and the new owner, I only wanted to find out information about the car as it's a 320 mile round trip for me and wouldn't want to waste the petrol on something that turned out to be a dud.

 

The car looks exactly like what I want, but i'm a bit worried as you didn't have it for long and the new owner hasn't had it for long so the car is a bit of an unknown quantity. Also the new owners reaction and threats to you worry me and now I don't know what to do :helpsmilie:

Hi ifty you have been very open and honest about the zed and the new owner has no right to threaten you. As far as I can see he got the zed for £2000 plus you give him £150 back and he is now selling for £2750. He is making money on the deal (which we all like to do but he should come down on that price) so sholud not be complaining. Good luck to anybody buying it as it sounds like a good SWB Zed:thumbup1:
