While fitting the exhaust in place, two of the rear support brackets behind rear bumper have been broken. Is it possible to buy these parts?and if so, does anyone know where from?

Featured Replies

Bloody hell Dave, you should have said before the breaker got taken away. Are they removable?

It looks like they unbolt. Would of said sooner, but i didnt know they were broke.

Well if they definitely unbolt, I MIGHT be able to get them for you still, but you'll need to confirm that they do.

Ye mate they defo unbolt. They have two nuts holding them in place.

I'll ring the scrappy guy tomorrow, see if I can just go round and unbolt them. Do you need both sides or just one? What size socket do I take with me? Or do I have to use a spanner to get to them etc. :D

I just need the passenger side rear 2(ones right at end of exhaust). Think there are a 12 or 13mm. Will need a long socket.

Sorry dude, couldn't get to the car, although he hasn't taken it to the scrap metal dealers yet, it's at his yard.

Has anyone got these available please?

I'm you get really stuck i have some here but hopefully you can source some locally, have you still got the whole piece? could just weld it back together?

No mate, the broken part is long gone. And whats left is too rusted up to weld too.

Thankyou for your offer, if i cant get one soon i will let you know.

Cheers bud.

Best ask Mr.F that kind of question bud, Jeff might have some second hand? He's had a couple of breakers in recently I think?

I have asked jeff a couple of times on parts, but replies are none happening.

Can you see how much it will be for these including postage please?

Mine were bust so drilled the bolts out and the rethreaded them, used the metal sleeves and replaced the bolts job done, if you cant tap the threads out use a bolt on the back of the bracket, there’s enough room between the panel and the bracket for this.

Daz.

Dave you could try contacting one of the people on eBay who are breaking their Z, im sure that would be quicker and cheaper than getting them sent from OS during the Christmas period
