well me and the ADL guys had a bit of a dyno shootout at surrey rolling road today...

im a bit disappointed with what my zed ran however...

270.6 RWHP @0.8bar

280 ftLB torque

its an auto TT, but its zedworld chipped has a full straight through exhaust and good induction kit, along with HKS plugs and a huge FMIC. i was expecting 300 at least

they said it was running perfect though, so im wondering how much the auto-box is wasting...

what sort of rwhp are you guys running in autos?

either way its going to manual before 2012 is out, but im thinking if its new turbo time?

mines 295fwhp and 290fwflp uk auto tt with colder plugs and boost jets running 0.7 bar did they let the car ride up on the rollers?

did you get a printout?

looks about right tbh i spoke to my mapper a while ago and he said you can expect up to 15-20% loss throgh the auto tranny so you could say around 330atf

I was thinking 270 rwhp is pretty damn good they are only 280ish at the fly and especially if the motor is anywhere near 15 years old. Sounds like you have a healthy Z?

are you happy with how the car performs on the road? if you are dont worry about the numbers ive always been told not to chase numbers if your happy with the real world performance i wouldnt be dissapointed at all.

ive driven a 1100hp evo and its fun for about 10 mins before you get bored of the noise, heavy clutch and the frankly stupid wheel spin, to be honest for a car to own im more than happy with my 290hp zed!!!

new stock Auto TT is around 220 rwhp. So its a healthy increase.

so 50hp increase, not too bad i guess for std turbos and injectors,

i have to say though, this morning really happy with the car, now i feal like somthings missing....

i think its time to get a daily drive and convert the zed for more power....(ans a manual box)

That's better than I'd expect tbh, can't see why you are disappointed that's a good result. Why not run 1.0bar anyway?

Have to agree - 270 rwhp with a power curve as smooth as silk has got to be a good result. I would suggest the transmission loss is more like 50hp+, although I cannot substantiate that statement! Before you start the modification route you should really consider just buying a car which has already been modified, its way, way, WAY cheaper..

Always think its best to have a dyno run with an open mind, I ran my 3.0 calibra on one back in the summer and to be honest was only hoping for somewhere near standard power and anything else would be a bonus, so when I get 197bhp and 216lb/ft of torque I was happy.if the cars running sweet and the engines in good condition I wouldnt worry, as while it is nice to say you have xxxbhp you can only go so fast plus the fact that if you drive slower everyone else gets a good view of the zed!

ill have to have a think, what ever happens im not getting rid of this zed,

been toying with the idea of getting an R32 GTR as there's a dead one in our yard, only got 5 cylinders lol, might keep the zed as a daily drive and get the GTR as a project...

very poor video but sounds nice IMO,

i think we should have a owners club day and get a load of zeds down there? was only £35

I'd be up for that, especially at that price. Dyno day is the ultimate meet IMO - all get to look at each other's car, with a generous helping of dyon info to chew over post run.. Even if I had to drive 100 miles I'd be there!
