Fmic balance pipe question ?

Hi all hoping you can help?

Ok ive got a large Greddy FMIC and ive been advised a few times that i should install a balance pipe between both throttle bodies to balance the air flow before the air enters the plenum?

What size diameter balance tube would be best? Im thinking of locating the balance pipe between my hard pipes leading to the throttle bodies?

The pipe joiners im thinking of using only go up to 25mm will that be enough? Im not sure if anything bigger than that could be intalled on these pipes anyway.

What do you think ?

Thanks Dan

the std balance pipe will work to some degree. one of the main problems of a std type fmic with a zed is that you loose the self balancing design that the oem setup has. ie the lh turbo provides boost to the rh bank, so if the rh turbo produces more boost then the lh bank will receive more boost causing the lh turbo to produce more boost etc. as a traditional type of fmic will cross the air flow back again the rh tub will boost the rh bank, hence the need for a decent size balance bar.

i would have thought 1" would be sufficient. you dont want uneven boost across the banks
