I'm really struggling to re-fit the exterior pass side door handle. I can get it in place and the control rods are clipped in but each time I get it into postion to put the nuts on the back the bloody handle sticks out :angry:

 

I had the same problem on the drivers side but with a bit of fiddling it went in ok and works as it should. But the pass one is refusing to play ball.

 

I can't work out why as the control rod for the latch looks as though it's in correctly.

 

Has anyone else had this and knows what I'm doing wrong? I've been at it for over an hour and half with no joy. I'd have pulled my hair out by now, if I hadn't already done it years ago. lol

I did it the hard way (Or so I thought) and got the vertical control rod on through the hole in the door, once the handle was back in, fiddly as fook!
