hi, the girlfriends just bought one last wk on an 07 plate and iv gotta say is bloody quick but do you guys reckon it would it beat my 300zx tt manual? she's been trying to wind me up all wk saying how it would beat the zed, i took it out yesterday for the 1st time and it shifts but then they do have 257bhp, i had a corrado g60 celica gt4 and soarer tt prior to the zed and if im honest id say it would beat them all but then again so would the zed so wot do you all reckon and has anyone had any experience with them before? i refuse to be beating by sum mazda hot hatch haha.

What is it's kerb weight?

Its basicly a Focus rs from what i understand. Same chassis and engine which is a modded Volvo T5 lump. Ive got an 59 plate ts2 model as a company car which is only a 1.6 but even that is nippy. Not sure how many people have raced a Focus RS or Mazda 3 on here? Would be interesting to find out.

300ZX 2+2 TT gives 183.6 HP/T

 

Mazsadpeed 3 gives 181.3 HP/T

 

Up to 60 is anyone's guess. After 100 I'd say that the Z's extra power & torque coupled with a lower drag coefficient will leave the Mazda behind.

kerb weight is 1485kg, didnt realise it had the same engine as the focus rs, it would be interesting to see if anyones ever raced an rs or mps tho.

i was thinking (hoping) the same thing murmur, you probably wouldnt think twice about taking it on cos tbh it doesnt look lyk it would have that sort of power which is something you could never say about the 300zx, maybe there's only one way to find out then, saying that i dont think i could do it to her...not within the first wk anyway haha.

I think the '07 came with a 2.3 engine, which isn't the same as the Focus that uses the 5 pot 2.5T
