So yeah, like a bunch of muppets, we put the drivers window down before we started breaking the car, but not the passenger one. Now we're looking to strip down the passenger door and the window is up, the fuses are all out, battery out, fuse box out etc. So it isn't really a possibility to plug all of that back in, lol. Is it possible somehow to get the window down without taking the door card off and without power? HELP PLEASE  lol

Is it acceptable maybe to just cut the connector for the window controller and run 12v across it to open the window, or is the window motor going to blow up? lol

I would have thought it might be possible to put a direct feed from a battery to the switch, not sure of the operating voltage mind and would probably only be advisable for a short period of time, just enough to drop the window.

Maybe worth knocking up a flying lead with in-line fuse just in case.

go direct on the motor mate, but just touch the wires on, if it tries to go up, reverse the wires

what he said. connect two wires straight to the battery, then put them on the motor connectors but dont touch them together lol.

I'll concede this one, he did do good on this one :D Although again I believe he used my idea ;)

so how did you sort it mikey?

as it sounded like you couldnt do it until tomorrow when you can use your power probe... I reckon you've learnt stuff from this thread :tt2:

thought you needed your power probe  :2guns:

yeah but all that does is the job of 2 wires. i stoped and thought for a minute and it came to me. :)

good boy, super mike to the rescue, for a change :batman::cool2:

Seats were the first things we took out ;)

EDIT: We also made sure to remove the gear knob :whistling:

what do you mean for a change you ckeeky git...... i take it you dont want a hand with the n/a engine swop or manual conversion then???? lol

I was being sarcastic lol :sweatdrop:

have you taken the engine out yet alex? if not you can bypass the fuel pump relay behind the drivers kickpanel and pump the fuel out the line to the filter, FAR easier than dropping the tank and doing it that way. Unless you are planning on stabbing a hole in it... lol :shuriken:

Can I still do that if I've left the engine in but removed all the fuses and relays in the engine? :whistling:

Erm........ I think so,,, its the green relay to the right of the drivers feet thats the fuel pump one.

Erm, but the fuses and relays I took our are for things like the ignition? :whistling:

I think Mikeys idea should work :blushing:

Guess I'm cutting up some hose tomorrow ;)

why? we can still use the original fuel hose right up to the filter:)

So that we can extend it into the tank of the Grey Z :whistling:

Only joking, just got to sort out that darn jerry can situation first.

why do you need ignition?

I figured without doing it Mikeys way, you'd need to turn the ignition over like you were starting the car to get the petrol pump to go?

I think its the top 2 pins on the relay base that need linking, will do it just with the battery connected, no need for ignition power :)

ah, then awesome, no need for your anal probing super bean, screwdriver it is :whistling:

you just have to hope that when you put the battery on it works. you have removed every fuse and relay so not sure if it will .lol. then you will come running to me. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

lol
