hi everyone,

Doing the suspension and I can't get some of the bolts off. Tried WD40 and extension bars but still no joy.

Anyone got any tips on getting them off? It's the tension rod bolts on the bottom arm and the upper camber arm bolt nearest the inner wing that's being a pain in the ass.

Cheerz, Rob

Extension and a pole fella get some wieght behind it or use a hammer give it a hit and try to shock it off

Plus Gas is what you need, (WD40 is not a penetrating oil). Impact driver if you have one, or a bit of heat from a blowlamp, plus of course a decent extension bar.

I used WD40 and just kept applying it over 4 hours or so. Eventually they gave in...with a 3ft extension bar. Best of luck.

Cheers guys, tension rod is off but the camber arm won't budge!

Due to the position of it you can't get a socket on it so its a spanner job, which my extension bar is useless on. Apart from brute force and ignorance not sure what to do LOL.

couple of spanners and both hands fella should move, mine where a bitch aswell.

heat it up with a blow torch it will expand then contract when the heat is off it and should make it nice and easy to undo

How hot do I need to get it? Do I try and loosen it as soon as I take away the heat?

Sorry for the dumb ass questions but not needed to use heat before

get it red hot then let it cool for 20 secs or so, just so the metal is not soft, dont do it on anything close to shocks, bushes or things that will catch fire like hamsters and petrol though mate!

Shocks are off already but there is rubber bushes built into the camber arms. As long as I heat the nut and not the arm I assume I'll be ok?

Success, all the bolts are loose. To get the rear bolt out do I need to remove the bracket holding the camber arm to the body, no matter how much wiggling the bolt won't come out.

Cheers
