differential

Hi

I am hearing some clunking sounds in the differential, what could it be and if it´s serious, and i need a new differential, can I then put a 1993tt differential in my 1990 N/A 300zx,

Thanks in advance

ps, sorry if there are any misspellings, my english is not so good.

Kristinn.

yes and no, it's not a direct fit

you'll need the whole subframe and propshaft of the TT as well.

And as Trey pointed out, the ratio is different also...so theoratically your top speed will be higher after fitting the TT-diff

It is the whole rear carrier with the brakes and everything. But how abaute the clinking sound in the differential.

Thanks.

you're sure it's the differential and not the propshaft ?

the clunking sound could be caused by play on one of the bearings inside the differential, but more likely it's caused by the propshaft (eg. worn center bearing)
