I saw snow socks at asda yesterday they fit on your tyres and apparently are realy good in the snow .the biggest size listed is 255 tyre 18" so ok for most 300zxs .anyone ever tried these ,

I ran my Zed through a lot of the snow last year on near the limit 275's, Sideways is the way forward! I intentionally left early for work, not to make it on time ... to go and have a play before hand :D

Saw them myself - I've known a few people use the 'proper' ones (Autosock?) and say they're great as long as you stop as soon as you get onto clear road as they damage easily... could be worth a punt.

Last year it was pretty bad round us so I put a couple of bags of grit in the boot - the weight meant I got stuck less, and when I did I had some grit to chuck under the wheels and get going again - worked pretty well - only had to turn around once!
