Hi all, I have come to drain your knowledge again please,

1) Will an ECU from a jap import fit and work in a UK/US model?

2) Vice Versa?

3) I'm assuming that TT and NA would be different?

4) I'm assuming that Auto & Manual would be different?

5) Is it only the chip inside that is different for all the above?

Cheers :)

A glass of Robinsons blackcurrent is up for grabs

Gota get you interested somehow :detective:

1. Yes no problems

2. See above.

3. Not sure but guessing yes.

4. Auto will work in a manual but not the other way round.

5. Not sure mate.

Can I have my glass of juice now please :)

Forgot to say that the ECU changed from 8 bit to 16 bit around the series 4 era (ish) iirc they are not interchangeable.

Poured & ready for collection thanks Steams :pint:

(added some JD & Cider for the added info of 8bit to 16bit)

Although I now want to know what year the series 4 starts from please?

So, My ECU (23710 41p13) according to this chart:-

http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-268925.html

is from an auto which was running in my manual, mine was converted from an auto to a manual (this much I know)

For TT AT

23710- 41P11 (89/07 - 89/08)

23710- 41P12 (89/08 - 89/11)

23710- 41P13 (89/11 - 90/08)

23710- 41P14 (90/08 - 92/08)

23710- 46P65 (92/08 - 93/09)

23710- 48P76 (93/09 - 94/10)

23710- 51P65 (94/10 - 98/10)

23710- 51P66 (98/10 -)

So my ECU wil work in a Auto & Manual whichever way round?

Is that right, or am i barking up the wrong tree?

(This time a Werthers Original is up for grabs, and if someone can answer question 5 then I will throw in a Sherbet DibDab)

Don't know for sure but I am going to post anyway, I didn't post earlier and I did know all the answers as I am not too keen on Robinsons Blackcurrant :whistling:

Mine is a series IV dated Nov 1994 and looking at your dates this would tie in nicely with the 94/10 one for a start date :cool3:

To say I am disappointed is an understatement, I was looking forward and am quite partial to a dibdab

Have you any spangles as an alternative

lol sorry, will a packet of mint poppets do?

Yep, your auto ecu will work in either.

Don't like DibDabs, can I have a Double Dip instead?

haha Result !!!

Ok Steams, you best get round here quick then, you have waiting:-

1) A glass of Robinsons blackcurrent with JD & Cider

2) A Werthers Original (just one, i've eaten the rest)

3) A Sherbet DibDab (Sorry phutumsch, although the WHAM & Poppets are available)

So thanks to everyone for chipping in, I have discovered that my originally AT ECU ref:23710-41P13 that was fitted to my auto to manual conversion will work on any AT or MAN Z32 TT upto & inc 1993.
