Hello, I'm Rob (New member)

I understand that this is mainly a Z32 site, but it seems some of you have or have had a Z31.

My problem is:

I discovered that the sidelights have been moved to a toggle switch on the dash by a previous owner . This is because the stalk does not put the side-lighs on, just clicks round to headlights.

I was willing to live with that until I could get it sorted, but I tried the full-beam, left works, but the right one is out.

I checked the fuses and the right light fuse seems to have gone. (this is where it get weird.)

I took the RH fuse out and the headlights still work !

I would like to get the stalk working as intended...

So, does anyone know where I can get a stalk for an '87 Z31 ?

or MJP (in traders section) for new.

btw - its pretty standard practice for the headlights to default to full beam if the lights fuse blows. (as a safety precaution to ensure you don't suddenly lose all lights when driving at night down dark lane)

My mate had an old sherpa van back in the '90's and the lights used to just go out at random times. Used to scare the sh1te out of us when it happened. Norfolk country roads are bad at the best of times. lol
