I have been toying with the idea of selling my NA-auto so I can purchase a TT-manual. However, I absolutely adore this one as I now have her exactly the way I wanted.

If I did decide to go ahead with the idea... what price do you all think I could get for her? oh yeah... she's done about 35k miles.

Also... if any of you have sold an auto NA in order to own a manual TT... what benefits did you personally experience (and downsides if any - fuel consumption not included)

Just a shame it's not a TT as you say.

 

 

Since I have both...biggest differences between auto NA and manual TT:

 

ofcourse the TT is faster, but the biggest difference is the higher torque in the TT, as soon as turbo's kick in.

Grin-factor much higher in TT

TT is far easier to upgrade and make it noticably faster

auto NA is more like a *cruiser* then a racer, and nicer/better for daily driving

TT is a lot more thirsty

TT maintenance is quite a bit higher and therfore more expensive.

You get used to the boost very quickly and want more...and more...and more (aka the shit-there-goes-my-bankaccount syndrome)

TT can react pretty nasty and unpredictable on slippery roads (the NA sometimes has this also, but less)

 

As for the looks and respect you get from other drivers...no difference between NA/TT

Nice car!...I have an NA also, although it's a manual car.

Might have to sell my car soon, as the daily commuting costs are getting too much...need a sensible family car! :((
