what did you mean by that mate?

Think you misunderstand, the spacers fit down at the steering rack /track rod to extend the amount of lock, drifters use them as it increases slip angle and assists when drifting, nothing to do with the steering wheel position.

Jeff, i've been looking into this as doing more drifting these days, can you make this adjustment & in particular do it for me?

how would it work??

You put them between the steering rack and the rod arm to make it longer??

But that would put the tracking out. so you pull the tracking back in and its the same as where you left off with :confused1:

dont worry about me... going blonde lol.... I'll go back to sanding.....

OK it changes the length of the pivoting point (balljoint in the inner tierod) in relation to the angle of the bottom ball joint. If the steering arms stayed completely straight when they were on full lock your explaination would be correct, however they do not, as the lower ball joint and lower arm move in an arc, this is where changing the relative balljoint angle by fitting the washers it changes the amount of steer angle, in some cases the rack stop is removed for max turn, NOT STEET LEGAL THOUGH

So does anyone know exactly how many mm spacers I can put maximum ? Also I know that than I put spacers I need to cut the hubs , there is like a support to lower arm that stops steering angle lock to the limit. If I do both thing I will definitely get extra steering angle lock.

BUT ANYWAY is anyone knows any other way how to get extra angle please tell.

I've got one set of spacers on mine and am fairly happy with the results. The way they work is that they allow the tie rods to go into the rack further each side so that effectively the rack moves further and hence you get an extra bit of steering wheel turn each way.

You have to modify (grind down) the lock stops on the hubs to get the benefit.

Well I definitely will try to put spacers I will tell know guys how is going, Thaks for all help cheers !!

Yes, think about it though, now the distance between the track rods is wider, hence allowing more lock.

is is why I want to get more steering angle because I been drifting before with other cars and if you compare 300zx is not drift car because is not enough angle for steering I tried my self and is not good even you parking. LOL
