I have bought a new oil gauge but I have to plug it in where the oil pressure sender unit is. Where is it located?

Also I have a new turbo gauge. Where does that plug into?

I always wonder about these universal guages that run off the factory senders.. FYI it's usually the stock oil sender thats a pile of pants..

Anyhow, crawl under the pass side of the car and look up at the bottom pass side of the engine, there should be a small cylindrical object sticking out of the block with a rubber boot and connector - that's the oil pressure sender.

Stock boost sender is on the inner wing, right up near the corner of the engine bay on the drivers side. Small square box, has one vacuum hose going into the bottom of it, and from memory a four wire plug. You should be able to trace the wire colours from the wiring diagram in the online (or CD) manual.

PS If your guage isn't the type that can work with 'any' sender, then it likely wont work with the stock ones.. Still, I dunno what guage you have in front of you so I can't say smile.gif

Aaron. Where have you been?

Good to see you.

Yes the sender units are crap, but Nissan want 80 for a new one. I bought a new oil gauge with unit for £35. If the unit goes its only another £5-£6 for a new one for the new dial.

Stu Az is dead right, it's the senders that are arse bud! I replaced mine recently and the gauge reads much more reliably. However, I'm gonna get an aftermarket mechanical gauge instead, much more precise over stock! wink.gif
