By Me and Save a Turbo ...AKA Turbo Timer Group Buy!!!!

Hey everyone,

Yup its Time for a quick GB again, This time we are going for a simple Turbo Timer buy from a UK supplier. Any suppliers that are interested and reading Shoot me a mail BTW.

I have got a few guys from the Supra List and here at work to chip in, We currently have 5 units already to order and are looking for lots more.

The units we are looking at are the Blitz ones. Namely the Multi Speed Turbo timer, which features fully auto Timing control and 0 -60 timing Etc.

Check this link :

And here is a pic of the little Fella :

Retails price is

: 120 quid + VAT

We are looking for as Painfully low a price as possible from somewhere. All orders will be handled seperatly, Posting will be single units to single addresses.

As there are quiet a lot of new guys that may not know what a turbo timer is let me take a minute to explain :

Basically if you have been driving the car hard and the Engine Temp is high, and you suddenly stop the car and kill the engine, The oil will stop cirrculating thru the Turbos, What happens? The nasty hot oil can get stuck and solidify around your turbine wheel shafts. Is this good ? No not at all, what it means is that more than likely yor compressor wheel we be stuck and no longer able to spin, and thanks to the Plenum design of the Z one turbo cannot function at all well on its own, it needs its friend, so instead of a Single turbo car you get an NA right. Wrong. You dont even get that due now to the extreemely low backpressure which comes from having no turbos your low - mid rang torque is all shot to hell, the car is about as quick as a Ford POS. Not happy.

For thos of you in the know, this is what happened to me :o( i have been without my Z for 5 months now and am still looking at 1500 quids worth of parts.

So a turbo timer will let you leave the car with the keys and doors locker while the car idles for long enuff where the heat is no longer a problem. And you are fit to walk away and do as you please while everyone around you looks in awe thinking you are James Bond or some shit like that.

Yes this problem can be avoided by taking it easy for the last couple of miles, but try doing that when your gaggin for the john after a Saturday night beer and curry fest while doin 160 up the Motorway.

One final Point is Alarms, now some people have problems installing the Turbo Timers with after market alarms and imobilizers, there are easy ways to get around it but to be on the safe side BOB!! do you know any problems with any specific alarm systems or any systems to watch out for. Cheers Bud!!

Right Post your interest here and shoot us a mail and i will add you to a list, the transaction will hopefully go thru in the next couple of weeks but you can never tell with these things so it might be a little longer with people dilly dallying and such like.

And these things are not specific so if you know anyone with and EVO, Scooby, GT5 ro whatever as long as it has a turbo, plead, beg, bitch winge or threaten with physical violence untill they agree to buy one. The more people the lower the price.

Nick, I'm in subject to Bob giving the nod on compatibility with a Cobra Cat 1. Bob fancy quoting for a fitting price? I might need you to replace the speakers too to make the trip worthwhile!

I have wanted a timer for years, but only a few people are able to correctly wire around my Toad AI610 Alarm.

Bob - what do you think?

Have you checked the US prices? It's been clearly demonstrated that we get shafted on everthing we buy over here. I imagine the US prices maybe cheaper even with shipping costs.
