what make is it the warn away feature can sometimes be disabled from the fob? if the doors dont lock though poss a connector rod issue in the door panel?

not quite so urgent now, found a secure place to park it for the nite. really didnt want to leave it on the street unlocked all nite.

i found a big hitatchi box behind the glove box, unplugged that thinking it was part of the alarm but it didnt affect it, so no idea what that is.

guess its the door panel off (AGAIN) tomorrow, need to have a look at that clip anyway that manually locks the door, bound to be snapped.

not sure to be honest, i tapped in to google what i could see on the little black box under the driver side dash and the make autowatch came up.

it went nuts like it before and i couldnt switch it off, this time if i put the key in ignition it stops. got it fixed by an autoleccy last time and he said it was a loose wire under the dash, so obviously that was the first thing i checked

Not being clever, but was the boot shut? I had an alarm that went off to tell you the car wasn't secure or a window was left open. No idea what make it was though.

I still can't use the alarm on my car, goes off every time a bus goes past or a leaf falls from a tree. Fecking useless thing it is. Oh, that and a turbo timer that unlocks the doors when you think you've locked your car. Its amazing my zed hasn't gone walkabout already (fortunately, the immobiliser works even when the alarm isn't armed).

ok not sure of that make, maybe give this chap a ring though if he has already looked at the system? the must also be a way to turn the warn away off from the fob prob through a sequence of button pressing :/

yep checked the boot and doors were shut properly, and the bonnet, if a door wasnt shut properly it makes a different beep to say so

I have an autowatch, and I dont have any bother from it now.

When it was first fitted it kept going off but a new something or other from my guy and it as been faultless ever since.

No issues with door locking at my end, dont know if that's a helpful post from me or not, more of a FYI one :tongue_smilie:

well after taking the door card off, centre console out, glove box out and the actual alarm to bits and a visit to the autoleccy out of frustration. i came in had a cuppa and a cool down. went back out with a fresh pair of eyes and saw a fuse within the cable city under the dash. changed it for a new one seeing as it had blown, and hey presto it all works perfect again!

car back together
