Hello,

My name is Rob (43) from Dorset and I have just bought a 300 ZX Z31 (NA) Auto.It has 100k on the clock but you wouldn't think so looking at her. Even though she's an 87, the bodywork and interior is excellent.

This is (in a way) my first car ! Let me explain... I am in a wheelchair and until now have had 9 cars under the motability 3 year lease scheme. So this is the first time I have had a "real" car, one that I am passionate about,

instead of one that "fits."

I'm not complaining. The Motability scheme is a fantastic thing and I have had many years if happy and importantly care-free motoring.

I have always been a petrol-head and motorsport enthusiast, but I always yearned to have a sports car of myown.

My friend and neighbor (and personal engineer) Kev will be helping me keep me on the road.

Most of my friends all thing I'm mad giving up the security of a eco-hatch for a 3 Ltr V6 "in this economy !?!" ... I guess my Fairlady is my mid-life-crisis-mobile. :-)

Glad to meet you all,

Rob.

Update:

Mine's been in the garage over a month now, only got to drive her twice :(

(something snapped in the crank and whacked a valve out.)

Good news is, I bought her under a 3 month warranty :)

Well time passes fast here ! :-P

I've been enjoying my Z31 for four years now and have watched the number of roadworthy Z31s plummet. I'm Starting to think about selling her on and was wondering if you had once like mine would how much would you ask?

After the post above I had the top end rebuilt. I've had a lot of other work done to bring her up to scratch.

I'm in NO HURRY to sell but if somebody made a good offer I would need a bit of notice to extract all the wheelchair related stuff.

Spec:

1987 Z31 TT 2+2 N/A Auto

New rear brakes

4x new tires

Electric windows and mirrors

I run with Spoked BBS rims but I still have the original wheels in the shed waiting to go on.

Inside it's nice and clean with only a few marks on the P/S rear door-card (Due to where my chair goes in.)

Outside there's no marks or dents. but two small rust patches have started to show (below the rear quaterlight.)

So.... shall I wait? And what, when the time comes, should I put her up for?

Thanks,

Rob.
