have just bought a front stut brace for my 300 and find that it fouls the fuel lines on the pass side is it ok to move these as they are metal and bolted to the plenum some advice would be appreciated as i dont want to damage anything or fracture any lines

You can move them out of the way, just make sure there are no big kinks or really sharp bends in them as then you might restrict the flow of fuel.

If they absolutely will not go around the strut brace, I'd unbolt them and secure them to the strut brace/balance bar/something or other with tie wraps at least, I doubt it would hurt to leave them free, especially if they're so short they won't go around the brace, but better safe than sorry. Sounds like someone maybe put braided hoses in for the fuel lines but cut them a bit short.

no there actually the original metal pipes that go across the plenum and its where they join on to the flexible hoses from the fuel filter

most of them need it... search on google Images...

Without going and looking, I'm positive that the top photo is the same as the strut brace I have on mine, I have the braided lines with no hardpipes left as in the picture, but I didn't need to cut off the knub. As for my original guidance, for some reason it didn't occur to me you were talking about the standard hard pipes, sorry.
