dump valve fitting

I have just fitted a set of baily dunp valves, and want to know if it is ok to leave the re-circulating valves in place but just blank off the vacume pipes that lead to them. this would just mean that they do not opperate.

any input appreciated

should be ok.

just make sure you blank the hoses off very good..

are they two stage ones. cos i didnt know they did any. and how much were the pair.

hiya Tony. there not two stage, just standard piston type. I only had them cos they were so cheap! they kick in at about 3500rpm. sounds good, also takes a bit more lag off gear changes when on full throtle. mail me if you want to know anything else or want a picy.

Dump valves take more lag of gear changes?

Im not so sure of that.

I would think it would actually give you more lag in between gearchanges?

Dump valves allow excess boost pressure to be vented out of the pipes therefore leaving the turbos to spin at much higher RPM than without the valves.

This should make for quicker spoolup time after gear changes.
