have just found a broken belt under my z looks like it drives the air con pulleys what else does it drive and is it a big job to replace car is a uk spec t turbo 1994 can any one help some diagrams /instructions would be helpfull please

Featured Replies

Pretty sure thats all it drives as long as thr water pump and altermator are still hooked up ots no biggy. No ps in the z is awful mind you

Yeah, the AC belt just drives the ac compressor. The only bugger side is that it's the belt that goes on first, so to replace you will have to remove the ps and alt belts first.

If your not bothered by A/C then you don't need to worry about it.

cheers can this be done with engine in situ

Yep, in situ, but if I remember correctly, the AC belt is behind the alternator belt, so you have to remove that first, but, 'if' it is your AC belt, and you don't use your AC, there's no rush, all it runs is the AC compressor, I'd have a look at your alternator, make sure that still has a belt on it, then you'll know it's your AC...
