i have a car battery thatwas overcharged, and the acid level inside is low just under the level of the plates, now i have topped up the battery with distilled water but im finding it hard to charge up again, is there a way to revive it somehow, what about the electrolite level should i top it up with battery acid instead?

its an expensive battery so i would like to save it somehow
