is anyone on here a member of a gun club, alway's fancied trying it out in a shooting gallery, i found out there is one very close to me and i fancy checking it out, just dont want to waltz in there, would prefer to know what i need to do, would be even better if someone i knew was a member that could take me in

Mate just tip up there and shoot some targets. The staff should do everything for you.

will they have gun's to use, will i have to do any check's first (nothing to hide lol)

The one I went to did and I think I just showed my ID card or driving licence.

I went to our local gun club and took me own gun....feckin spoilsports took the hump cos I'd cut the barrels down and sawn the stock off.... Now I'm barred lol :gun_bandana::gun_bandana:

I was just saying to a friend last weeked that I fancied learning how to use a gun. Just one of things I wanted to try in life ;)

I used to be in the Battalion shooting team and loved it but my eyes are useless now. Just go down and they will put you through the saftey percussion's and that should be it mate.

I used to be a member of a local target shooting club. You probably find that to become a member now you will need to supply a couple of names as references. Your name will also be sent to the local police force who will do background checks.

i still am a member of mine but dont have the full license at the min, anything you need to know ask away or pm me :)

I've been to a gun club a few times - great novelty value the first time you go - then you realise you're not allowed to shoot anything thats living and it looses its appeal. Still well worth doing - even if it only teaches you the basics. Firing a handgun as quick as you can pull the trigger is always a laugh - especially when you realise you haven't hit a god damn thing!

 

Personally I prefer shooting real stuff that you can skin and eat (like small children and dogs). Nothing better than the taste of a rabbit that you've shot and skinned less than 20 minutes ago and cooked on a few hot rocks in a fire. Brings out the caveman in you!

Alan, go down one day and say your interested in shooting, never done it before etc.

 

They might have a chat with you and show you around but not be able to offer you a shout without notise first, some places are funny like that and some dont have "spare" guns for walk in people to use.

 

They are normally very helpful and want new members as its a dying sport. Go down and have a chat :)
