Boost Solenoids

Boost Solenoids Where are they ? how do I disconnect them? As I'm going to fit a boost controller soon.

Featured Replies

They are a bit tricky to get to.

They are mounted on the bracket that secures the plenum to the block.

See in the bracket up in the middle of the picture.

There is a black wire and a short hose hanging of the solenoid.

If you follow the hose from the waste gate actuator, you can't go wrong.

So do I fit a hose straight to the waste gate actuator totally bypassing the solenoids?

Also has anyone had the experiance of fitting the Apexi Boost controller?

I've got the AVC-R myself.

You fit a hose going directly from the waste gate actuator to a T-joint where it

meets the hose from the other side's waste gate actuator.

From the T-joint you lead it to the AVC-R control solenoid.

Yes, you are totally bypassing the original solenoids.
