Been working on this for a while, a few niggles to sort out yet, but I`m nearly there, I can take it out in less than 20 seconds, its got sat nav,dvd,mp3, speed/compass status,gps, internet, well everything from the android market in a high deff 10" screen, I love it!!! even got angry birds :wink:

Its all top secret :tt2: ,lol, Its mounted/sat over my double din dvd and plugged into the amp, its surrounded by some gloss black perspex that i have routered out to the shape of the dash and the tablet sits neatly into it:tt2: the vents i need to sort yet and the power comes from the clock supply, i can take it out easily and then place my double din facier back over when finished, just a gimick really but works really well and will work better when i get the gps sorted, yes the sunlight reflects quite badly, but i dont care, well I do really :tt2:

Better pics tommorrow when daylight, cant run datascan or conzult yet, but very soon there will be a pc emulator for the android market and it should run then, Ive got a programm called torque that runs on obd2 :( (not compatible with 300`s), but some functions work and look cool, well better than real time datascan!!!

not yet mate, but it may be possible, there a loads of car diagnostic programms on the horizon for the android market, but our cars have an old system of communicating, someone just need to develop one for ours!!!

I have a mate developing an iPad app for me in his spare time to do just that

OOh cant wait to see it in the flesh, and in daylight. I love gadgets. Best to use the gadgets that are already so capable and you take everywhere anyway eh. Those dont do phone calls though do they though. Still cool :cool2:

 

I`m not sure they can do phone calls? it has 3g enabled , but I`ve never messed with it? so not sure really, hope so :)

What exactly is it?, Obviously not ipad if running Android - good choice, all the same stuff I can get running on my smaller Galaxy tab in mine so looking forward to see if you get 'tourque' running.

 

You cant take video footage from where it is but it looks MUCH cooler where you have it, you can reach it better and isnt sat in a window holder that falls off at the most in-opportune times! I'm sure you can remove it quicker than in 20 seconds, will have to time you.

Were trying to do both, I'll be honest I know very little about how he's gonna do it I just got told get your bloody car running and your iPad install ready and we will be starting the testing sometime this month

This is the car app to have for android, some of the functions work and it looks fab on the screen, just get your mate to make it work on our cars!!!
