For the electrical/audio minded people i currently have a humming in the speakers when the engine is on and this alters with RPM. Now it wasnt there before so has to be something recent that has been fitted maybe.

Could it either be that i have a RPM signal wire that goes to nowhere currently as it was for the 4in tacho or could it be that the RMP signal wires for the Bee R pass over the speaker wires behind the stereo?

Its another one of those pains i have to sort but i dont really wanna have to cut the Bee R wires out just to see if it goes away. Also have RPM signals for the Apexi rev meter and HKS turbo timer passing over the same direction.

Cheers

Marty

Just had a quick look at that item and I don't know if it would be of use as the speakers are not on those type of connections

I had a problem like this on a car before. Make sure the power cables arent near the speaker cables. I run one down one side of the car and the other on the other side.

Might be what Mikey said but my terminology is crap.

the power for the sub runs down the right and the audio for the amp down the left so no problem there but im thinking it is behind the stereo so i had it out today and moved a few wires about but still no difference. What i will try is unplugging the amp and see if that makes a difference

You connect it between the headunit and amp not the speakers mate.

thats what i thought and the amp is only powering the sub so it possibly isnt the problem so it would be useless

I would say that's a likely bet, can you move them away without major hassle ?

i moved them to the rear yesterday and no difference. I know before this rebuild it wasnt there and all that has been done since then is the tacho removed and the Bee R fitted
