Hi Guys, are any of you having problems with your hid`s flickering? I had just one side that kept flickering a few months back, but now both are flickering soon after lights on and then they just go off!! If I turn the switch off and then back on again then they do the same thing, ....light up...flicker for a few seconds... then go out :(((, yes they were cheap e-bay jobbies,. but only 12 months ish old

any fixes i can do? , or anywhere i can buy spare ballasts?(if that is the problem)

HID ballasts are very voltage sensative, this can be often seen when HID kits are tested when a car has been sat a while and they will not work or flash like yours as the battery voltage has reduced to the working cut off point, when they strike up they use a lot of power initially.

However if yours are doing this with the engine running then it could be bad connections, earths or if using the original power supply dirty relay contacts, try disconecting one and see if the other comes on and stays on.

Don't think buying ballasts are an option Daz, with the price these days just buy another set for that to go wrong in 12 months headachesmiley.gif

FYI....Got mine from this guy

Yeh ,thats what I paid for mine 12 month back, and they have been great till now, I was so happy with the price/product I bought 2 sets ,one for each zed :), will buy some more if its not a bad connection as Jeff mentioned, thanks guys

As said above could be a bit of dodgy wiring. Has anyone fiddled with the wiring, particularly the light circuits. Dodgy Daz used to operate in your area :tt2:

Mine flickered occasionally, then stopped working eventually. I replaced the ballast and its been fine since.

Mine have always been shit, if those are good phutumsch i'll give em a go, it could be that the HIDs ive got are just rubbish. If not i'll know its something else thats causing it lol
