Been looking about for a FMIC and found the Japspeed one Here

 

Anyone using one or had any experience of them?

Same as the autobahn88 intercooler. Ive got one, made a nice noticable difference.

Yep ,well the Autobahn one, i was impressed with the quality for the price:thumbup:

Although i did mod the top mounting bracket to raise it up about an inch higher .

what did u mod .. as it looks the same as mine is now ...

Is the FMIC really worth it for stage 1 upgrades? The Japspeed 1 is about £300 cheaper than the Autobahn isn't it?

autobahn is £300 there abouts New ...

 

there is a Universal one for around 200 on ebay as well

Why is this so pricey then?

you all so get the twin filter kit and its a direct fit ...

 

the universal one needs all pipes cutting to the right size and no air filters/twin pipe

That pic was before being modded , i drilled new mounting holes an inch higher than the ones used but had to trim a bit of metal off the corners of the headlamp panels as the intercooler was gonna foul on them , just gave me a bit more clearance at the bottom as they do hang fairly low .

IIRC these ones are £250 off fleabay .:thumbup:

Autobahn is the one i have fitted as well, looks very sturdy build from what i can tell. though my pipes are suffering from over spray from the cars color change.

iain how you getting on with the car now , is it far from being street legal ???
