Shifter bushes u/s?

My gearstick is like a cock in a sock it doesn't spring back into a central position for neutral. Is it likely that the bushes are gone?

    i'd say bushes mine has the twisting movement but does spring back to centre at the mo, but changing my bushes over the winter
