I think most day poicies are far more expensive than they used to be so dont know how much it would be now days - used to be about a tenner but dont suppose it is that cheap any more LOL!

    If you already have a motor insurance policy, it may well work out quite cheaply for you to simply add another car to your own policy for the day....

     

    ....I have done this before and it has barely cost more than a basic admin fee!

    Well in the end it cost me £26 with breakdown cover for the day.

     

    Not to bad in the end only drove the car for 2 hours.
