hi all,my tt jap import has suddenly started to stall when idling,junctions etc.drives ok until you put your foot down and at about 5000rpm it hestates in a big way.......any ideas would be great

simplest of things to do and try is get some contact cleaner and clean ever single connector you can get to in the engine bay. It could be as simple as that!!!

Regarding the idle it's may only need a base idle adjustment. Otherwise I agree Vijay could be a poor connection somewhere (possible on the PTU).

not sure not had it long and i think its been changed.what would be a visible difference?

when u put the foot down at 5000rpm do the revs stick 4 bout 2 seconds and then rev out as normal

 

sounds about right.....didn't like to try it again got me worried.ill give it a blast tommorrow and check

my zed used 2 stall it turned out the idle sensor needed disconnecting and the screw wound in a bit and reconnected and then the ecu can pick up the idle and adjusts it to what it should be

did the mill lamp fault test,got code 34 knock sensor,gonna try that

Any news? Otherwise almost all of these cars got the code 34 knock sensor fault(as it's position is just too hot melting the sensor and the connector.), but that cannot cause the engine to stall.
