Oh FFS ! ... errr ... So are chips away any good ?

Some nice socialy minded person decided my car door needed a few deep scratches

Not the Zed, the family econobox, its nothing flash just a little Punto we bought new, we have had it 2 and a half years and looked after it, no dings or wheel kerbing etc etc, now some fecker (prolly bored kids) decided it needed some pain. :(

Its not worth an insurance claim as our excess probably wouldn't even be breached !

So being as money doesn't grow on trees I thought it may be something the likes of "chips away" should be able to sort, anyone have experience of them good or bad ?

No personal experience, but the road testers for EVO have reported using them on a few occasions with nothing but good things to say about them.

As they are franchises though i'd guess it's a bit 'pot luck' with whoever your local guy is?

I've used them down here on my Hilux deep scratch down to metal from front to back £200 no one could tell.......... whole heartedly recommended

Thanks guys, looks like I will have to give them a ring, see what they can do at what price.

I used them when a dumb delivery driver scratched my capri with a roll cage. They made a superb job and I was even more chuffed when the delivery firm paid for it.
