Power steering pump bolt

i took the power steering pump off the car and left it connected in the engine bay like i did when i did my N/A engine change.

well trying to get this damn bolt lined up so i can bolt it back up is proving to be a pain in the ass, any one got any tips or is it just a case of keep going until it eventually finds its seat?

The N/A didn't give me this much trouble, I've been at this now for over an hour trying to get the rear lined up to get the bolt in place.

I had this problem I found that the pump wasn't lining up in the bracket properly so in the end I took the bracket off to inspect and it had burred over ever so slightly to save yourself more hassle its worth doing this

id changed the bracket over already from a N/A one as it had a N/A pump on the engine before fitting, though i might try taking the bracket off and then mounting the pump to the bracket and then mountain the bracket to the engine. cant be any more annoy to put back on that whats currently happening lol

Don't think you can get the bolts on the bracket with the pump fitted however you will see if anything is stopping the bolt for the pump going all the way through may just be a few burrs on the bracket.
