I have Falken tyres on the rear and both were new at the same time, i had all the tracking balancing and set up done while having new front tyres fitted, but i noticed today that my rear left tyre is nearly illegal, while my drivers rear still has a good amount of tread.

Now the worn tyre has worn evenly over the tread of the tyre inside to out, so what i cant understand is how one tyre on the same axle can wear (evenly) and the other side virtually untouched in comparison. I drive it fairly modestly and dont go ragging round corners.

Any ideas?

strange this, but how many left hand corners do you usually drive around? lol

but i have noticed the same on my rear, my passenger side is waring on the inside edge, yet the drivers is waring evenly, i have paperwork for the 4 wheel tracking that was done at around the same time the tyres where changed.

Cheers Gaz, never even thought about the diff.

And Ian, i just new someone would say that lol, i said to my mate who spotted it, that im going to have to do more left turns to wear the other side down :cowboy:

Drive the other way around the island ;) lol

Perhaps the other side of the car is doing more miles.... hehe

I think you are both on the money, theres not really alot else that it could be. Since fitting another prop bearing and having vibration from it, the vibration may have caused the diff to fail possibly, which is a shame as im fitting a one piece prop this week, sods law eh.

What are your thought on these tyres? I am thinking of buying them for my B3

Cheers

Falkens are a good middle quality tyre, i have got Nexen on the fronts and i have to say very grippy and the tread has lasted longer than my Falkens.

They are both similar prices, although i did get the Nexen at £98 per tyre.

What i have noticed with my own zed and many many others when they light up the rears the car always starts to carb to the left slightly????

Most UK roads camber off to the left so water runs to the drains abs doesnt pool, could this possibly be the reason?

New shocks and eibach springs, but i do feel a bit of skipping out now and again. Ive got some adjustable lower arms to go on yet, which might help.
