After fitting the converter, how did it perform ? 7 members have voted

  1. 1. After fitting the converter, how did it perform ?

    • Worked perfectly ever since fitting.
    • Worked OK to begin with then failed, either intermittently, or totally.
    • Never got it working at all.

Came with the zed. Was done by a specialist near Aylesbury. Anybody want his number PM me

Had mine done at Zedworld

One small point - when you go over 100, the needle drops all the way back to zero then pings straight back to the correct speed (so I've been told). :whistling:

Also, its not much use below 20mph (so I've been told)

Is that a common thing ?

When I wired mine in it wouldn't read anything below 15mph either.

I could live with that, until it decided not to work at all today

I couldn't tell you, but I'd hazard a guess it was something do do with scaling up from km/h. 20km/h is nowt really, when you think about it - so there was probably little reason to have a speedo that was accurate to much less than that (although, if you're going to do a job, you may as well do it properly, eh?).

The 100mph thing is obviously some gremlin from the old speed restrictor, but its never bothered me - I don't really pay much attention to the speedo, unless I'm in a 30/40mph limit.
