Any tips on cleaning the Air Con filter?

Anyone have any tips on cleaning the Air con filter?

Whenever I have used the AirCon during the past two weeks the air starts to smell(setting myself up on this comment biggrin.gif ).

I found this link http://zetton.power.ne.jp/lady/photo/evaporator/index.html on how to clean the filter.

Heres where the filter lives(near the glove box):

I was just going to scrub away with a toothbrush like in the link. Anyone know of any specific cleaning sprays that can also be used?

    You can buy a spraycan from Nissan (at least in Holland) that cleans/kills fungus and other creatures that live in the filter.

    It also gives the aircon a fresh smell.
