New 300zx owner here. I don't have her yet, should be picking it up next weekend all going to plan!

I was just wondering if any of you could help me out with a question before I get it. I've searched all over the net but I can't find a definitive answer.

How wide is the z32 including wing mirrors? Wikipedia says 1,800mm for the 2 + 2 but that just seems a bit narrow for it to include the mirrors.

Problem is that I have an extremely narrow driveway and I'm concerned I might have to park my lovely new motor out on the street :sweatdrop:. If it's much wider than 2000mm then I might need to widen the driveway a bit which is something I can take care of before next weekend.

Thanks!

2000mm sounds about right Including mirrors.

This is excluding wing mirrors :

If its an Import then the mirrors do fold in electronically anyway.

Welcome to the club, If its a jap you can fold the mirrors via the switch, if its UK, fold by hand, but should get rid of a a few inches each side sticking out lol.

Thanks everyone!

I don't have any photos of her yet, it's a colleagues who's just bought a Lotus Evora to replace it. He's had it 20 years from new.

It's a UK 1991 twin turbo 2+2. Red paint on the outside and a 5 speed box on the inside. 55,000 miles on the clocks and every MOT from new. It also has a full Nissan service history with every invoice.

Seems to be in very good running order. No rust, no noises, flawless paint on it. It's totally stock. No after-market parts whatsoever, even has the original stereo and CD player.

I can't wait to pick it up!

You need to invest in a metal tape measure mate, they don't shrink in the wash like the cotton ones do

Welcome, your new purchase sounds like a minter. Looking forward to the pics. Gotta love a standard Zed :tt1:

I picked her up Saturday, couple teething problems but they're working themselves out the more miles I do. It had only done about 400 miles in the last 4 years and it had been sat for a few weeks so it was a bit spluttery and judderry for the first 5 or 10 miles. Seems to be running great now though.

The main interior light doesn't seem to work, I guess it's the bulb. Are they simple enough to replace?

Also I have a head unit from an old car I'd like to use, do I need an adaptor to fit it to the system that's already in place?

Also it needs a cover for the passenger side headlamp washer, any ideas where I might find one of those?

Thanks a lot :)

If its done so few miles in the last few years its probably ready for a good service/cambelt etc so I would take it to a specialist such as zedworld to have it all checked over and a clean bill of health.

Low milage one owner UK specs are getting VERY hard to come by so its certainly worth looking after!

I agree - don't leave anything to chance - get it checked over by someone competent.

A small outlay now could save a whole heap of expenditure later..

I'd check the tyres very carefully too!

I hope you got some money knocked off for this not working

Cam belt and all the fluids and filters are definitely on the cards.

I know main dealer prices are extortionate but is it worth maintaining the full Nissan service history?

Not with Nissan :) If you're in Wales, I'd head for Zedworld. Oh, and welcome to the club.
