Hi guys well after 2 years of being without my engine i finally get it back next week.

The problem is what to do with it?

As some of you might remember this engine has everything done to it (Greddy TD 05 Turbos,Pentroof manifolds etc)

Do I sell it as one lump or break it down for parts?

You don't have a car to put it in anymore? Maybe buy a cheapish car and drop it in? lol

welcome back steve, Not sure matey, do you trust the people who built your engine? i think that would be the first thing to be asking.

just remember though, that registered users are not allowed to sell on the forum, so please dont turn it into a forsale thread.

He is allowed to donate though... give it to meee! lol

Will seeing your engine regenerate any enthusiasm for a fast zed? Maybe worth buying a tidy shell for buttons and putting your uber engine in?

I said it first, you can have my engine ;) Runs well! Just needs to be like 600bhp...

Well I say runs well, it has a chronic lack of electricity at the moment. Batterys died, I cant complain though it is the one it was imported with! Nice night last night, went out to the old girl turned the key, click click click.... bah i'll take the astravan instead then!

I concurr. I'd have to be 100% sure before I installed (or even sold) an engine like that. If I was fitting it to my car, I'd want to know it actually had what it was supposed to have, inside. If I was selling it, I'd want to know the buyer wasn't going to come back a few days later with a large spanner..

If you are confident it was all above board, then I'd have to consider buying another car to put it in. But I'm thinking you might have had enough of Zeds to last a life time? In which case, it would probably be more practical to cut your losses and sell the engine as a whole, rather than breaking it down and being left with a load of bits no-one wanted.

Fortunately, VG engines will always be in high demand!

agreed, an already built engine (as long as it does what it says on the tin) is always easier to shift than engine parts, just ask jaffa about that one.
