i bought the series 2 air con pod and ecu off of jeff a couple of weeks ago, well i managed to fit it today, took me all of 45 minutes from opening the garage door to testing it!

 

i even swapped over the housing as it was a little worn on the series 2 one.

 

its a recommended mod imo as you have much more control of the aircon but you do loose the ambiant temp info on the new pod.

just undo the two smaller screws that hold the ecu onto the bracket ;) it then slides forward and then unclip the plugs, easy peasy!

 

i took taga off

took out seat (2x 14 mm bolts and 2x 14mm nuts, unplug seat power supply)

took out 1 piece of ducting (one plastic push clip and 1 screw)

undo the 2 ecu screws

slide forward

remove 4 plugs from ecu

remove ecu

 

reverse with new ecu :) simples,

I don't get the attraction, I prefer the LCD readout and I barely ever even use my heater (Possibly because it doesn't work, I think my matrix is naffed) and I've removed my aircon

You still have the LCD readout with this mod mate, your thinking of the s4 manual controls.
